Who's afraid of the big bad .......

NOOOOOOOOOO!   NOOOOOOOO!!!  NOOOOOOOO!!

My yells at 6.30 the other morning catapulted poor Vito out of sleep.

“Wha…. wha … whasmatter?”

“Noooo”

“What is it …….. what is it ……….. don’t worry it’s just a bad dream, it’s ok, it’s ok”

“Nooooo” whimpering now as he put his arm round me and drew closer.

“It’s just a bad dream” he comforted, “tell me about it”

“I was being chased ….”

“It was just a dream .. what was chasing you?”

“It was a mouse!”

“A mouse?????”  To his credit, he rolled over on his back and burst out laughing.
Had the situation been reversed I doubt I’d have found it so amusing, although he did tease me mercilessly all day.

Ok, so I don’t like mice.

In my dream it kept getting closer and every time I reached for a cat, (not our poor Prish Mish who is no longer with us), and gave the order to attack.  As in waking hours it soon became apparent I am here to serve, not be served and not one of the three showed much interest except to chase it nearer to me. (Hence the yelling).

Later though when I’d calmed down, I had to giggle, and also admit to Vito that although the mouse kept getting nearer me and growing too, it seemed just as frightened of me. It was actually quite sweet.

So here I am, a complete and utter technophobe, relating the story of how I overcame my horror of a mouse.   I have managed (I think) to set up a blog (thank you Google) overcoming all my fears of “I can’t do it, I don’t know how” and to prove to myself not for the first time that it’s amazing what you can do if you set your mind to it.

Now I can reap my rewards.  I can show you all those things I’ve wanted to show you over the years and never been able to.

Like this.

This is the view from my front door this week.
Welcome all to my world.  Isn’t it beautiful?
